Tips on extending your iPhone 8 Plus Battery life: As many people using the iPhone 8 Plus agree, it really is one of the best mobile phones out there, extremely powerful and fun device. However, this comes with a price when it comes to battery life. Many of us with the iPhone 8 Plus have to recharge our mobiles at least every other day if not during each night. Following some tips below, you can help preserve the life of your battery to ensure you have full use of your iPhone 8 Plus when you really do need it!

  1. Auto Brightness: The iPhone 8 Plus adjust the light of the screen based on external light – a darker screen will be shown in darker surroundings. Turn on “Auto Brightness” and let your iPhone 8 Plus automatically adjust the screen brightness. To do this: Go to Settings, then Display & Brightness and move the “Auto Brightness” slider to green.
  2. Turn Bluetooth Off: Bluetooth is useful for those using their iPhone 8 Plus  with wireless earpieces and is also used for accepting data on certain apps/ features. Whilst not needing to use bluetooth, turn it off. Leaving the feature on will only use more juice from your battery! To do this: Go to Settings, select Bluetooth and turn slider to off (white).
  3. Turn Wi-Fi Off: Granted, Wi-Fi is quicker than 3G or 4G but if you’re not using your iPhone 8 Plus in an area you know Wi-Fi can be connected – turn it off. Leaving your Wi-Fi turned on searching for “hot spots” is a guaranteed way of loosing power from your iPhone 8 Plus battery. To turn off: Go to Settings, select Wi-Fi and turn slider to off (white).
  4. Location Settings: Great feature, especially when you are in areas you don’t know. But, having this feature on will use your battery. Simply put, whilst on, your iPhone 8 Plus will be constantly sending and receiving data on nearby locations, attractions, restaurants etc. To turn off: Go to Settings, select Privacy and slide the Location Settings to off (white)
  5. Battery Killers: With the latest update of iOS, there is a great new app which allows you to see exactly why your iPhone 8 Plus battery is being used. This will then give you the option to see what it is you do use and turn off everything else. To do this: Go to Settings, select General, then Usage and go to Battery Usage

Its always a good idea to contact us first, but please not we wont accept bribes, free items for positive feedback or new scam ideas the raise up when eBay change policies to allow new scams.

Items must be returned otherwise you will not be refunded. WE DO NOT OFFER FREE REFUNDS WHERE YOU KEEP THE GOODS SO PLEASE DO NOT ASK. If you are outside the return time which is 14 days, then we must insist that you return this at your cost. Even if the goods are prohibited for postage the unit must be returned, if you have received it, then you can return it.

Dispatch

We will dispatch within 1 to 2 days if not sooner on the day of purchase. This does not mean delivery to your door, we are a company based in Northern Ireland, and as you must accept, the delivery times from Northern Ireland UK to England, Scotland or Wales, will indeed take a little longer that normal times you may expect from a supplier in the same country as yourself.

However during busy times, we note delays in delivery it has become quite normal of recent, we still dispatch on time and are most are being delivered within the time frames we set.

There has been a lot of changes in postal times with Royal Mail and other couriers so we ask politely to please try to avoid becoming impatient and try to allow time to deliver during busy or extra special circumstances, such as poor weather, busy periods and pandemics which have affected our postage in the past.

If you have been waiting for more than 14 days for your unit please contact us and we will help you resolve the issue.

Batteries being sold by us important information for you

This is Vital Information, For all new batteries, we suggest that all of our customer should fully charge it up fully on 3 occasions before full usage, because the capacity requirement will strain out by inner PCB circuit. In order to protect your battery life, you can full charge to 100% and drain 2 times. Charge the battery regularly, at least once a month. This is known as conditioning the battery. New batteries can fail if you don't keep a charge in them, so if after 3 months you decide to use your unit with no charge when you stopped using it, the battery will be dead and irreparable. This will invalidate your warranty.

Mishandling goods and warranty voided

Poor handling of the products we sell can result in complications and or fail the entire unit if not installed correctly. The Tech Shed and the Battery Shop and the Tech Discount store cannot be held responsible for any damage or problems caused on the unit you are installing the battery before, during or after the repair process. If the battery is dead on arrival, please keep it on charge for 24 hours before applying for a replacement if the unit isn't taking charge we recommend to send a message to our support team we will answer your emails within 24 -48 hours, weekends excluded.

We will not accept liability for any or all claims put to us unless installed by a competent qualified person to handle the product you have purchased from us.

Postage issues and delays

All UK delivery 2nd class or 2nd class signed for using Royal Mail if you opt for our free postal service. 

Scotland, The Isles Except Northern Ireland do take longer and may at times have seized units from Royal Mail, we will simply send another out after 10 days of non delivery. Northern Ireland will receive packages quite quickly, as we are located there.

Unfortunately from time to time packages do get lost or delayed, Royal Mail won't class any item as missing until 14 working days (UK) has passed. If the package is lost or delayed a new item will be posted out, if the item is no longer available a full refund will be issued. If the unit arrives after refund, we will request you pay us back and send you a pay pal bill for the stock you haven't returned after refund. Please note: We always claim for losses from Royal Mail. Royal Mail won't tolerate abuse of the postal system. If you cannot receive this item through Royal Mail please contact us first. We will redeliver if the tracking fails to deliver within 14 days.

If you are keen to get the unit you want really quickly at economy post, it just wont happen, and may arrive within 3 working days up to 14 days dependent on where you live from ourselves, and what you have purchased. Prohibited items cannot be flown internationally unless you are willing to cost the expense yourself and allow a courier to fly these to you. We cannot absorb these costs due to flight restrictions and laws governing battery delivery. And as such we sell a majority of our products are batteries.

Domestic transport is allowed. You must accept these conditions before purchasing. If you want speedy delivery please choose this in the postal options, we wont accept complaints about slow post when you purchase 2nd class delivery

Safe usage, storage and disposal

Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries/cells can be dangerous when mistreated. When purchasing from us, the purchaser/user assumes all risks associated with their use, charging and discharging and their safe storage and/or transport. The Tech Shed its suppliers or original manufacturers cannot be held liable for injury to person(s) or property or any other form of loss or damage caused by improper use of these products.

  • Do not short batteries with metallic objects.
  • Always use a battery charger designed for the cells you are charging.
  • Never leave a battery charger unattended.
  • Never completely discharge batteries. (The cut off for most cells is 2.8v or 2.5v)
  • Check your wraps and insulators regularly. Replace worn or damaged wraps before continuing use.
  • Do not expose to extreme heat or cold or sudden fluctuations between the two.
  • Always dispose of end of life cells at your local WEEE recycling centre

This is a vital issue for certain customers however offering quality batteries and tech at a low cost to you, Does not afford email and customer support 24-7 so we ask you understand these terms fully before ordering. If you require a person prepared to answer your emails 24-7 please try another company on ebay.

We work on most days, however, we deal with a lot of processes in regard with packing, posting, answering emails and ensuring all customers are being looked after, please be patient for your turn to be helped by our courteous and kind staff please be as kind and courteous as we are with you.
